It is with great love and joy that we have recently begun sharing our beautiful nature retreat in the stunning Westerwolde. Our charming little farmhouse, built around 1900, is situated on a unique 1.5-hectare property, offering plenty of privacy, tranquility, and nature. Surrounding the house, you’ll find a private pond with a rowboat and a dock, an orchard, a small forest, and lovely spots to sit outside. Outdoors, you can relax in the wood-fired hot tub or in the wood-fired sauna located in an outbuilding. Inside, you’ll find a lovely whirlpool tub, a loft with beanbag chairs and a view of the water, a cabinet full of board games, and a soapstone stove for cozy evenings. The house is comfortable and fully equipped, including a dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. Basics such as coffee, tea, oil, salt and pepper, and dishwasher tablets are also provided. We’ve only recently started sharing this space and value personal contact. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!
Nature and surroundings
Everything around the house revolves around peace, space, and nature. You can take a walk around the private lake, swim from the dock, row around the small island, or pick fruit from the orchard when in season. Westerwolde is a beautiful region for hiking and biking. Scenic routes wind through Smeerling, Sellingen, Ter Borg, and Ter Wupping, among other places, and various biking and hiking trails are right near the house. Camping Wedderbergen is also nearby, offering play areas and dining options. If you love nature, tranquility, and the outdoors, this is the place for you: spend the day exploring and then return to the hot tub, the whirlpool, the sauna, or simply enjoy the peace and quiet by the water. Over the past 50 years, the previous owners have created a wonderfully balanced natural retreat. It is with pride and honor that we continue to care for and develop this special place. Free cancellation within 24 hours of your booking confirmation.
If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount. After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refunded
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refunded
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refunded
• on the day of arrival or later: no refund
A deposit of €350.00 applies. You will be refunded after check-out.
- Out of respect for nature: silence between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
- Minimum age of main booker: 25 years.
- Smoking is not allowed in this nature house.
- No fireworks are allowed at this Nature House.
- No parties or events are allowed.
- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
- Waste separation is mandatory in this nature house.
