Detached Dream Home on the Water in Friesland – Oudega Escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy peace, space, and water in this beautiful detached vacation home, located right on the shores of Lake Oudegaaster Brekken. We’re now happy to share this family home and stunning location with others. From the garden, you can step right into the water to swim, paddleboard, or kayak. In the evening, let yourself be enchanted by the sun slowly setting behind the reed beds—pure Friesland at its finest. The home is cozy and modern, spacious, and fully equipped, with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (including a downstairs bedroom with an en suite bathroom)—ideal for families or friends. Within walking distance, you’ll find a marina that rents sailboats and electric rowboats for exploring the Frisian lakes and charming towns. A SUP and two kayaks are available at the house. In addition, the park offers a tennis court, and the surrounding area is perfect for cycling. The ideal spot for both active vacationers and those seeking peace and quiet.

Oudega is a charming little village located on the Oudegaaster Brekken. Tourism here is still on a small scale. There is a village store and a restaurant. From this lake, you can access the Frisian lake district without having to cross a bridge. In addition, you can take trips along numerous small, idyllic canals to charming towns such as Bolsward, Workum, Heeg, and Sneek. Grab a kayak or SUP, or rent an electric boat or sailboat at the nearby boathouse and head out! The area around the Oudegaaster Brekken is a Natura 2000 site home to numerous Dutch bird species. Enjoy watching the bird formations or the sunset from the house or garden. It’s also wonderful to cycle here to villages and towns; there’s a beautiful bike path running along the lake. As a family, we enjoy a refreshing dip in the lake all year round.
