Nature house in Jislum

Welcome to our fantastic island, where absolutely everything comes together. A charming wooden house with a unique view of the water and fields dotted with cows. On the island, you can truly unwind or simply enjoy nature. You’ll have access to a waterfront terrace with a boat and pedal boat, and you can also go fishing. A barbecue is provided, and we also have two bicycles that you’re welcome to use. The cottage is 100 m² and can accommodate up to 8 people. There’s a spacious bar next to the kitchen, a large dining table, and a comfortable leather sofa with an armchair and two recliners. There’s plenty of closet space. Games for the kids are provided. The bathroom is a bit dated, but everything works fine and is clean. Otherwise, it’s a wonderfully cozy home inside where you’ll truly have a pleasant stay. It’s completely private, and we also offer one free use of our unique hot tub, where you can sit 3 meters above the ground in a converted sea buoy and enjoy the sunset.

The island is located close to the shore at our small nature campground, so you’ll have your own private island all to yourself, right next to our little lake, from which you can also paddle further through our forest. But when the kids want to play, they can of course use the playground equipment, and in the evening, they can join us for a cozy campfire. If there’s enough interest, we’ll make pizza ourselves in our wood-fired stone oven, and we also regularly smoke salmon, eel, and gurnard. From our campground, you can enjoy wonderful excursions to various nature areas, including the Wadden Sea region, Lauwersmeer, and Buitenveld, as well as fantastic bike rides or canoe trips. You can also visit the islands or Eernewoude and rent a boat or canoe there, for example. We’re located 1 km from the Eleven Cities Route and 8 km from Dokkum, where you can also enjoy a fun day out.
