Real rustic Alentejo Monte, the beautiful home of artist woman who spends summer in the arctic and rents out this peaceful place from July to November. Plenty of space with 5 bedrooms in two houses, great for sharing quality time with family or friends. Easy cooking in the big, well equipped kitchen, relaxing in the giant sofa in the living room or reading in the hammock in the garden. The shower room is in the separate sauna building. There is a WC (and the adventurous finds further from the house a compost toilet with great views). The buildings are old taipa constructions that have been renovated with respect for the original, for nature and for beauty - and functionality. The thick stone and earth walls and the renewed isolated roof keep the house fresh in the summer.

Situated on a little hill in the beautiful Serra do Grandola landscape between Grandola and Santiago do Cacém, with wide views to rest the mind in. The small farm has plenty of olive trees and cork oaks. In the valley below is a big orange and fruit orchard, which hides the gardener’s house, where the caretaker stays. Many possibilities for walks or bike rides in all directions. Azinheira dos Barros village with a shop and a bar is 5 km away and legendary Grandola with everything you might need, including train station, is 18 km away. Monte is some 40 km from the west coast and the endless beaches can be reached by car in 45 min. There is a swimming place in the river Sado, near the village. A megalithic anta, Pata do Cavalo stone site can be seen from the house. Santiago do Cacém beautiful town with a castle and the big roman site Mirobriga, is 25 km away. Visiting Evora, world heritage town, is a day trip, Lisbon is a good hour by train.
