The cottage was built completely new in 2019, it has underfloor heating. Downstairs are the living room with kitchen. A spacious 2 person bedroom with lits-jumeauz and closet. The bathroom with shower, toilet and washing machine.Upstairs are a 2 person bedroom and a 1 person bedroom. There are chests of drawers on the landing. The cottage has a private driveway with parking. About 2 kilometers away is the village Oudemirdum, here you will find the necessary facilities such as bakery, butcher, supermarket, bike rental and restaurants. Nijemirdum is located on the beautiful South Sea Route, often driven by cyclists.
Nature and surroundings
Nijemirdum is located in Gaasterland which is characterized by gaasten, a rolling landscape created in the ice age, on the IJsselmeer.The places Sloten, Balk, Hindeloopen and Stavoren, are within cycling distance. The nearest place is Oudemirdum (2 km) with a cozy Brink where a number of restaurants, a bakery, butcher and a small supermarket can be found. Also the tourist office Mar and Klif with a museum about the area is fun to gain knowledge of the environment. In terms of nature there is much to see; such as the nearby Lycklamabos and the Wyldemerk, this is a dragonfly sanctuary. In Koudum is a nest where in the spring Bald eagles breed. The IJsselmeer coast is beautiful with small beaches and cliffs. Also Lemmer with a beautiful beach, is within cycling distance. Here in the summer skûtsje competitions are held.
