Wake up to the sound of birds singing! This cozy and bright vacation home is located on the outskirts of the charming Frisian village of Oldeberkoop, near the border with Drenthe. From the house, you step right into the spacious, sheltered garden of no less than 750 m². Here you’ll find several lovely spots to enjoy the sun or the cooling shade. The house has been decorated with great care, with the view and the outdoor feeling taking center stage. The bungalow features a new, fully equipped kitchen with a large refrigerator and freezer, a spacious bathroom, and a separate toilet. There are two comfortable bedrooms, each with a double bed fitted with a luxurious Matt Sleeps mattress. There is also a new wood stove, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a Nespresso machine. In the kitchen, you’ll also find various basic supplies that you’re free to use during your stay.
Nature and surroundings
Oldeberkoop is one of the most beautiful and greenest villages in Friesland. This charming artists’ village is surrounded by forests, heathlands, and vast nature reserves. From the vacation home, you’ll immediately experience the tranquility of country life. In the garden, you’ll be surrounded by many birds, and with a little luck, you might spot a squirrel darting by. In the evening, enjoy the silence, the dark nights, and a beautiful starry sky. Just a 20-minute drive away lies the Drents-Friese Wold, the second-largest contiguous nature reserve in the Netherlands. A paradise for hikers and cyclists who love peace, space, and diverse natural scenery. From the nature house, you can walk or bike right into the forests and heathlands. In addition, the surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities for relaxation, such as forest bathing, bird and wildlife watching, visiting a pick-your-own garden, boating on one of the Frisian lakes, playing golf, or enjoying a good book in one of the many quiet spots in nature.
