Welcome to our detached nature house on a quiet sandy path in the Achterhoek. Here, you’ll stay on a completely private 3,000 m² property, with all the peace, space, and freedom you need to get away from the hustle and bustle. The cottage is comfortably furnished for two people and features a cozy sitting area, a kitchen (without cooking facilities but with a combination oven), a wood stove, air conditioning, a bathroom, a toilet, a TV, and Wi-Fi. A steep ladder leads up to the loft, which features a second double bed. The loft is less suitable for small children and guests with limited mobility. Outside, you can enjoy a spacious private terrace, a covered shed with comfortable seating, a fire table, a barrel sauna, and a separate fire pit. The accommodation has its own driveway with a charging station and is not shared with other guests. Breakfast or a deluxe breakfast and the four-person barrel sauna can be booked as optional extras. Upon request, there is space to park a camper or set up a tent on the property.
Nature and surroundings
Around the nature house, you can experience the great outdoors of the Achterhoek. You’ll have a view of the meadows and can set out on a walk or bike ride through the varied landscape right from the property. Nearby is the Vennebulten nature reserve. From the nature house, you can easily connect to various bike route junctions and beautiful hiking trails. With a little luck, you might spot hares, roe deer, pheasants, squirrels, or a buzzard soaring above the fields. In the evening, you’ll often hear the call of a little owl, and on clear nights, you can enjoy a starry sky. The surrounding area is home to several charming villages, historic towns, and castles. Visit Winterswijk, Zutphen, or the “Book Town” of Bredevoort, for example. Ruurlo Castle, Slangenburg Castle, farm shops, and a trip to Germany are also well worth your time. A place where peace, space, and nature come together—and where you can catch your breath again.
