A cozy cottage on the Hoornse Vaart where you can see several boats passing by on the water during the day and enjoy spectacular sunsets in the evening. The cottage is equipped with a comfortable double bed (queen size), a soft sofa, pallet stove, dining table with chairs and a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, induction stove, microwave oven, dishwasher and washing machine. The bathroom includes a toilet, shower and sink. Bed linen and towels are included. The cottage itself is light at the back of the garden with free access, including use of the corner bench by the water. Basic necessities such as toilet paper, tea, coffee and kitchen utensils are provided. Do you use up anything? Ideal for hikers, cyclists, readers, fishermen, birdwatchers (beautiful species to spot at the Lauwersmeer), lovers of nature, peace and quiet and space and gourmets because also in the gastronomic area there is plenty of fun in the neighborhood to discover.
Nature and surroundings
't Stort is a neighborhood community located just outside Leens, right on the Hoonse Vaart (navigable) with a wide view of the surrounding meadows. In Leens itself are numerous amenities such as the Jumbo, Aldi, pet store, bakery, swimming pool, garden center, snack bar and a health center. On the outskirts of Leens (if you walk or bike uphill from 't Stort via the bike path) is the Verhildersum Estate with beautiful changing exhibitions in the museum farm, visits to the borg itself and delicious coffee or lunch at Ons Schathoes. A day out? Then the De Ploeg Museum in Wehe-den Hoorn and the Waddenzee World Heritage Center in Lauwersoog are highly recommended, also for the inner man. In the immediate vicinity there are also villages such as Winsum, Zoutkamp and Pieterburen, with several good restaurants. Want to stay at home?
