If you book with us, you'll be staying in the middle of the impressive and varied nature of the Harz National Park. Culture, relaxation, magnificent views and plenty of outdoor adventures - there is everything here in the southern Harz, and every type of vacation is guaranteed to get its money's worth. Numerous marked hiking trails and mountain bike routes start directly from the Walkenried resort. A bus stops right next to the resort and takes you to Braunlage and Wurmberg in just 30 minutes - the perfect skiing and tobogganing destination in winter. In summer, you can reach the Zorge forest swimming pool in just ten minutes by bus. Other highlights in the area include the UNESCO World Heritage Cistercian Museum Walkenried Monastery with its internationally renowned cultural and concert program, the Wieda Glass and Ironworks Museum and many more.
