Cycling Hiking

Imagine… waking up in complete peace and quiet, surrounded by greenery, with the soft morning light streaming in through the windows. Welcome to this nature house, where comfort and character are perfectly balanced and all modern conveniences are provided. Located in a beautiful, secluded spot with sweeping views, this vacation home offers everything you need to truly escape the hustle and bustle. This cottage is situated on the 3-hectare property of Hoeve Lombok, a former servants’ quarters that was once part of the Zelle Estate. The property features a swimming pool that you can use from mid-May through September, and there is a wood-fired, 4-person barrel sauna with an outdoor shower. There are also two horse stalls near this nature house, and—by arrangement—you can bring your horse and ride through the woods. There are several animals near and around the vacation home, so you may hear them. The surrounding area is also beautiful for hiking, biking, and mountain biking.

Nature and surroundings

On one side is the forest ('t Hengelse Zand), where you can go for endless walks or bike rides and soak up nature. And on the other side, you’ll find a beautiful golf course for a relaxing (or, if you prefer, active) day. And with kilometers of bike paths right in the neighborhood, this is the perfect spot for lovers of active recreation! There are also beautiful hiking trails, and I definitely wouldn’t skip a visit to one of the Hanseatic cities. And then… the evenings. From the lounge sofa under the cottage’s awning or from the garden, as the sun slowly sets and the sky fills with warm colors, you’ll have a view that feels special every day. A moment of peace, quiet, and pure beauty. And in the fall and winter, when it might be bleak and cold outside, you can enjoy the cozy radiant heat and the crackling rhythm of the wood stove’s fire indoors. In short, a place where you can slow down, recharge, and enjoy everything the surroundings and the nature house have to offer!

It's a wonderfully comfortable, cozy, and—above all—clean home. It has everything you could need. The kitchen has everything you could wish for.

The house is beautifully situated in the middle of meadows, forests, and a nearby golf course. We found the peace and quiet we were looking for.
During our bike ride, we saw the cranes flying overhead!

We received a very warm welcome and had several pleasant conversations with Marc and Ingrid. A very well-equipped, charming cottage with plenty of space. The beautiful fireplace provided a cozy warmth. The kitchen had a bean-to-cup coffee machine and was equipped with many handy features. We didn’t use the heated, covered pool or the newly installed sauna. We’d love to come back here again!

What an incredibly lovely place to unwind.

What does “Fireworks-free” mean?
The host indicates that the area is firework-free. Firework-free means that no firework bangs can be heard in and around the accommodation. You might occasionally hear some noise or see some light from fireworks set off outside the immediate area. It is important that you agree with the landlord on what you can expect.
