This nature house is a large farmhouse with spacious rooms and a number of barns, including an impressive hay barn. Those who want can drum and or paint there to their heart's content. The house is spacious and has a great view. The large garden (c. 10,000 m2) offers complete privacy and there are a large number of special trees to admire. There are beautiful borders, an orchard and a vegetable garden. There is a table tennis table and there are several sitting areas and hammocks hidden in various places. The house is comfortable but not luxurious. It has a bathroom with bathtub but eg no dishwasher! Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, both with double beds, in the piano room is a grand piano. Downstairs in the cool garden room is a single bed. In the winter we cook on a wood stove, but in the summer we use the outdoor kitchen in the conservatory, there is gas cooking. The house is very tastefully decorated, with many books and paintings, and a large DVD and CD collection.
Nature and surroundings
3 km away from home is the river where it is great swimming. Lakes, large and small can be found a little further away, but reachable within half an hour. The town of Tannay is 4 km away, it has a supermarket, a butcher and a cafe. On Sundays there is a small organic market. The medieval town of Clamecy is 12 km away, there are some good restaurants there and a large, covered farmers' market every Saturday. But also in the vicinity of the cottage you will find some congenial eateries in beautiful locations. Furthermore, you can have great walks, or just read, play ping-pong and dream in the garden.
