From the cottage you look out over the Friesian scenery and experience the tranquility of the countryside. Nature and surroundings
Cottage Saar is located in our yard in the outskirts of Friesland, near the village of Eastermar. You stay in the middle of the beautiful Noardlike Fryske Wâlden, a unique landscape of hedgerows, alder meadows and vast fields. From the large windows you look out over the fields where our horses and sheep graze peacefully. Regularly you spot a hare in the field, a buzzard hovers above the meadows and with a little luck even a roe deer shows up. Here you experience Frisian country life up close, with plenty of peace, space and nature around you. Our yard is a place where living, nature and business come together. Therefore it is not always quiet. The yard is home to restaurant Mearkas and our food trucks also make their home here. Guests, employees and activities create the liveliness that belongs to this place. From Saar House you can walk or cycle straight into nature and discover the most beautiful spots of the Noardlike Fryske Wâlden.
