Experience the true outdoor life in our spacious and charming apartment, located in our sturdy and authentic Frisian farmhouse in Wyns. Here you can enjoy peace, space, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, surrounded by meadows and close to the famous Elfstedentocht bridge in Bartlehiem. This apartment sleeps 8 people. It features a fully equipped kitchen and two private bathrooms. Two bedrooms are located downstairs. Upstairs, there are two separate loft areas, each with two beds. The kitchen and living area are situated on the first floor. An elevator is available for guests with limited mobility. Looking to enjoy a nice vacation in Friesland with the family? “Gast op stal in Wyns” is an excellent choice! In the village, we have a restaurant by the water; here, you can also rent a rowboat in the summer. You can charge your electric car on our property. We have a total of 3 apartments in our farmhouse. Each apartment has its own bathroom and kitchen. Only the entryway and play area are shared.
Nature and surroundings
Around Wyns, you’ll find beautiful biking and hiking trails that wind through meadows, along the water, and past quaint villages. Right from the accommodation, you can enjoy a lovely bike ride along the many peaceful bike paths the area has to offer. Just 200 meters away is a cozy café where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, lunch, or a delicious dinner with a view of the water. This is also where the ferry departs for the other side—a lovely spot to continue your walk. There’s also a fun playground here. In Wyns, you can also rent a rowboat through the café. A supermarket, bakery, and other shops are a 7-minute drive away. Its central location makes our cottage a perfect base for a versatile stay. The charming Eleven Cities city of Leeuwarden is a short distance away, and historic Dokkum is also easily accessible. Whether you love nature, culture, socializing, or being active outdoors: in and around Wyns, you’ll discover Friesland at its best.
