The cottage is located on a wine estate of 9 hectares ; we grow wine, almonds and olives. There are many fruit trees such as orange trees, tangerine trees, plum trees, pear trees etc. The land has many old plantings; alien species of trees and many beautiful tall palms. There are three natural water sources on our land; so we always have natural spring water. There are three larger farms on the land with gardens around them. A lot of nature and greenery. We have two donkeys , chickens and three dogs.
Nature and surroundings
Elvas is a beautiful historic town with a world-class aqueduct (Unesco world heritage); you are surrounded by beautiful trees and special shrubs; we grow almonds; grapes and olives. There are very special old wells on our land so we always have water of a special quality. You can visit many special old villages nearby; and Elvas as a town is very worthwhile to visit; Forte de Graça is an old military fortress overlooking Badajoz, in Spain. On Saturdays there is a nice market with local products. There are also many supermarkets where you can buy everything. Elvas has 40 restaurants, some of which are very good and traditional.
