This Nature House is a cozy, bright house. The sun can come in from any direction. The kitchen is open so you can cook in good contact with the rest of the company. It is a fully equipped kitchen, complete with dishwasher.Around the house are 3 sheltered terraces, east, south and west oriented, so you can always seek the sun.There is also a cozy sitting area with two sofas and a spacious dining area. On the first floor there are 3 separate bedrooms: a master bedroom, a single bedroom and a bedroom with 2 single beds. The bathroom has a sink, shower and separate bathtub. There is an extra toilet and washing machine. The house is prepared for heating with solar cells and will soon be equipped with them. The house is well insulated.
Nature and surroundings
The cottage is located 5 km from the Bay of Somme, a beautiful protected natural area. The area is very reminiscent of our tidal flats: at low tide an endless plain. The bay lies on 2 intersecting migration routes of birds, thus offering a wealth of species. Bird sanctuary Parque de Marquenterre is located against the bay and offers beautiful walks.There are also "ordinary" beaches to jump right into the sea or surf. Then there are chalk cliffs 35 km away, where you can collect your own mussels and serve them at home in the evening.Because of the flat location of this part of France (Picardy) cycling is very attractive. Finally, there are 2 attractive towns on the bay: Le Crotoy at 5 km and on the other side of the bay Valerie-sur-Somme. Very worthwhile, both towns can be pleasantly crowded with tourists. Once back home in Favieres, there is the village tranquility of the French countryside.
