A large, magnificent, light-filled, private yurt house in the far corner of a social-innovative estate - where it really is coming home. In the Flemish-Brabant nature (woods, horses, fields, birds...), in all quietness (no through traffic, in an authentic village) but with all comfort, functionality and cosiness. A warm 2 person bed, a huge corner lounge with DVD/TV set, an antique dining & working table, decent wifi, 1,001 atmospheric accents, a separate reading corner... But that's not all: at the back is a mobile home with both a mini-kitchen and a bathroom (no unwanted smells or humidity so in the yurt + extra living space). Combi-oven, double induction hob, comfort shower, fridge.... All wastewater is "recycled" on site and released back into nature, we try to use as much rainwater as possible for sanitation.... The yurt is surrounded by nature (a small forest, wilder plants/shrubs...) and has a wonderful view.
Nature and surroundings
Between the green Pajottenland and bustling Brussels lies a surprisingly versatile region: Merchtem-Meise. You stay between hop fields, castles, slow roads and cozy village pubs and other local trades (healthy food, culture ...), while in less than half an hour (or fifteen minutes if you use e.g. the Atomium as a Brussels gateway) you are in the heart of BXL. This combination makes the region unique: waking up quietly among the fields, cycling along orchards and later enjoying an espresso on a Brussels terrace. But you can always escape the hustle and bustle of the big city, from light/air pollution to constant noise pollution, violation of privacy (cameras...) etc.. The best of 2 worlds! Our large luxury yurt is therefore suitable both for short-term tourist stays to periods of distance work & health retreats. After all: nature, purity and tranquility are priceless medicines to a healthy & happy life.
