If you’re looking for a vacation home under the French sun, you’ve found it: Coussas, an ideal cottage for two people. It’s situated in a secluded spot in the hills, nestled between woods and vineyards. The natural-stone cottage is fully equipped with all modern conveniences, including a dishwasher, microwave oven, and washing machine. Through the window and from one of the small terraces, you’ll enjoy a fantastic view of the dry riverbed and the vine-covered hills across the valley. There are plenty of pleasant spots to sit around the cottage: on the large terrace in front of the house, in the shade of the trees; or on the valley side, in the sun. Starting in 2026, during the high season, we’ll set up a 2 x 3-meter (80 cm deep) above-ground pool on the side terrace facing the valley. It’s completely private for you. If you prefer the shade, you can relax on the small lawn behind the cottage. The small side terrace on the south side, along the dead-end road, is also a cozy spot. It all depends on your preference.
Nature and surroundings
If you enjoy hiking, this is the perfect setting: At the foot of the hill on which the house is built, you can search for fossils in the (dry) riverbed or simply enjoy the peace and quiet among the vineyards or in the woods. If you walk up the hill—which takes about 45 minutes—you’ll be rewarded at the top with a beautiful view that, on a clear day, even offers a glimpse of the Alps. There’s a tennis court at the base of the hill. Starting in 2026, you’ll also have your own private 2 x 3-meter swimming pool. It’s also great fun to go swimming at the Pont d’Arc or the picturesque village of Balazuc. You’ll also find lovely swimming spots near Voguë. There’s plenty to do in the Ardèche and the surrounding area. If it’s not too hot, you can take fun day trips by car. The Route Touristique along and above the Ardèche River is truly impressive. In other directions, the landscape varies greatly, and before you know it, you’ll find yourself in Nîmes, Orange, Vaison-la-Romaine, or Pont du Gard.

If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount. After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refunded
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refunded
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refunded
• on the day of arrival or later: no refund
A deposit of €300.00 applies. You will be refunded after check-out.
