Just a 15-minute walk away is the small, medieval village of Roccaverano. With a cozy village square, the popular bar- osteria del Bramante, a small alimentari and a pharmacy, this charming village offers an authentic experience of Italian village life. There are several terraces where you can relax in the sun or in the shade.
Nature and surroundings
Roccaverano is located high in the hills of the Langhe. In the area you will find many small villages and you can enjoy beautiful views. An hour's drive takes you to the famous Barolo vineyards (UNESCO World Heritage Site), with villages like Barolo, La Morra, Novello and Monforte d'Alba. A day at the Mediterranean Sea is also more than worthwhile.From the house you can make several walks and bike tours, walking on small country roads or unpaved paths with little or no traffic. You can also make beautiful bike rides. An electric bicycle is recommended because there is always a big climb in the route. In the area Acqui Terme, Canelli, Nizza Monferrata and Alba are recommended to visit. Historic towns that are easily accessible via beautiful, panoramic routes. Besides Roccaverano, you will find nearby small hillside villages.
