Les Deux Cèdres is part of La Bastide Portoly, originally a traditional farmhouse. More than 250 years old and full of history. Gîte "Les Deux Cèdres" is a spacious vacation apartment (116m2) on the ground floor of the main house, has its own entrance and offers a lot of privacy. Les Deux Cèdres also has a cozy hall (35m2) with a beautiful old fireplace with wood stove. Through the doors of the hall you walk out onto the sunny terrace with a fantastic view of Penne d'Agenais. The gîte has a luxurious living room/kitchen with all amenities. The kitchen is well equipped and has an induction hob, dishwasher, oven and refrigerator. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine, kettle and toaster. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower, vanity with double sink and a toilet. There are 2 double bedrooms, one of which has an Auping bed with Tempur mattresses.
Nature and surroundings
This stone country house is situated on a hill with magnificent views of the picturesque medieval town of Penne d'Agenais with its silver dome of the basilica. On the property surrounding the house are beautiful ancient (cedar) trees. The estate of 5.5 hectares consists partly of forest. You can walk straight from the garden into the forest for a lovely walk. With a little luck you might spot a deer or badger. The owl, a welcome guest, can also be seen and heard at night. A significant part of the estate consists of meadows where a diversity of wild plants and rare orchids grow. There are cozy corners throughout the garden where you can enjoy nature. Its unique location guarantees a beautiful wide view over the rolling hills with its plum orchards, sunflower fields and vineyards. Finally, an atmosphere of restful serenity!
