Monte do Grude is a quiet Nature house near São Teotónio in the Alentejo - a traditional Taipa (adobe) vacation home between the hills and the Atlantic Ocean. What we love most about this place is the peace and quiet, the sweeping views, the fruit trees in the garden and the feeling of being close to the sea without living in the hustle and bustle of the coast. The house has been carefully restored and is completely self-sufficient with its own energy and water supply. On approx. 160 m² it offers two bedrooms with double beds, a spacious eat-in kitchen, a bathroom and plenty of outdoor space for reading, eating, relaxing and observing nature. Our house is particularly suitable for couples, families or small groups looking for simplicity, comfort, tranquillity and an authentic side of the Alentejo.
Nature and surroundings
Our Nature house near São Teotónio is located in the quiet Alentejo hinterland, close to the Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina. The surrounding area is characterized by hills, cork oaks, orchards, open landscapes and clear starry skies. At the same time, some of the region's most beautiful beaches are within easy reach: Carvalhal, Odeceixe, Zambujeira do Mar, Furnas and Malhao are around 15-30 km away, depending on the destination. The Rota Vicentina with its hiking and cycling trails is also a highlight for nature lovers. São Teotónio is approx. 11 km away, Odemira approx. 18 km. After a day by the sea, hiking or cycling, you can return to the tranquillity of the hinterland - it is precisely this mixture of nature, sea and seclusion that makes Monte do Grude so special.
