Nature house in Puy l Eveque

We, Jan Willem and Nieske, would love to share our charming 19th-century rustic farmhouse with nature lovers who value peace and quiet and a natural setting above all else. Twenty-five years ago, we carefully selected this exceptionally peaceful and beautiful location to spend our vacations in the heart of a stunning, wooded area. It is situated on 6.5 ha of private land and forest. Approximately 2.5 ha of the property surrounding the house is fenced in, ensuring 100% privacy—except for the roe deer and other small visitors. The house is situated on a dead-end road with a few houses at a greater distance. Starting from the house and on our own property, there are several hiking trails for walking through the woods and a few small glades. Our farmhouse is located at an elevation of approximately 250 meters and is surrounded by nature, with forests and open landscapes featuring valleys all around. On the property, there are sweet chestnut trees that are at least 150 years old, as well as cherry and apple trees, the fruit of which guests are welcome to pick for free during the season. It’s worth noting that it’s situated at the junction of three departments: Lot, Lot-et-Garonne, and Dordogne, near the Bouriane region. There is plenty to do in this region within 3.5 km, including markets featuring regional products, flea markets, museums, a public swimming pool, and a playground. There’s also a tennis court, a pétanque court, fishing and swimming lakes, boating on the Lot River, and visits to the many wine estates with their delicious wines, castles, and quaint villages. Everyday necessities, including a supermarket, bakery, and drugstore, are also nearby. It’s great for cycling, and there’s also the option to go mountain biking on and from the property itself.
