About the Lodge: A recently renovated and wonderfully free nature house with a beautiful view over the meadows in the middle of the Frisian Lakes. Maximum privacy! View of sailing boats, horses, cows, meadow birds and deer! Here it is still really quiet and dark at night! Our lodge is modern and fully equipped. Good box-spring beds, a comfortable bathroom, a full kitchen and a cozy living room form a cozy whole. From the couch in the living room you have an unobstructed view and you can see our horses and beautiful sunsets. An ideal place for tranquility seekers, water sports enthusiasts, bird watchers, cyclists and walkers. There are numerous cycling and hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. Fancy an evening barbecue? There is a beautiful kamado ready on your terrace! A wood-fired hot tub you can fill and use yourself, we charge 50 euros per day including a basket with wood. If you can't relax here, you can't relax anywhere.
Nature and surroundings
Our Lodge is located amidst the farmlands and the Frisian lakes. The vast Gaasterland forests and the IJsselmeer coast 5 kilometers away. Beautiful cities and numerous picturesque villages in the area. Ideal base for wonderful bike rides through the Frisian landscape, sailing with a Valk or relaxed sailing with a sloop along picturesque villages ... The Wouda pumping station, named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is just around the corner and is well worth a visit. Lemmer, water sports village, with its old center, nice stores and cozy restaurants. The skûtsje (pronunciation: skoetsje, Frisian for 'boat') sailing competitions on the IJsselmeer can be followed from the dike and the sandy beach. For those who also like to play golf, there is a choice of 3 golf courses in the immediate vicinity with a beautiful 18-hole championship course. Tennis and padel are also possible within 10 minutes cycling In short, there is plenty to see and experience Friesland! Welcome!
