On the side of the characteristic farmhouse is a cozy vacation apartment with a beautiful view over the meadow.The apartment is located on the ground floor (the upper floors are not rented) and has a private entrance, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, private parking and a spacious garden where you can relax in peace. The spacious garden has a terrace where you can enjoy breakfast in the morning. Further around the house grass, trees and many fruit trees. In the spacious room you will find a comfortable double bed and a sofa bed, suitable for two more persons. There is also a hall and toilet.
Nature and surroundings
Stay in a rural environment with a spacious garden and fruit trees. You can make beautiful cycling here. Makkum with its beach and nature area for relaxing walks is 6 kilometers away. You can make beautiful bike tours through the Frisian landscape from Witmarsum for example Slachte route or a part of the famous Frisian Eleven Cities route. Plan a route along the 11 Fountains. Or visit the famous Planetarium in Franeker, recently added to the UNESCO World Heritage list. Just five kilometers away is the sea dyke in Zurich (the Wadden Sea) where you can enjoy the sunset. The Wadden Sea can be reached from the port of Harlingen. The ferry departs daily for a day trip to Terschelling or Vlieland.Bolsward within cycling distance has a weekly market with local products on Thursday mornings.The famous Jopie Huisman museum in Workum is also worth a visit.
