This nature house is an authentic Mongolian yurt that’s as good as new. It’s been on our grounds since March 2026. You can feel the cozy comfort of the yurt the moment you step inside. It’s often called a “living house.” This is much more than just a place to spend the night. It’s an experience in itself, taking you back to “back to basics” while still offering luxurious amenities. Come enjoy peace, space, and relaxation at our beautiful location. Cooking on the wood stove is an option, using the lovely pans provided. The beds are high-quality, so you’ll sleep wonderfully. Come enjoy the stars under the skylight. Enjoy yourself and each other. There’s also plenty to see and do in terms of activities. We’d be happy to tell you more! The shower/toilet and kitchen are brand new and fully ready to welcome guests. Nature and surroundings
From the mobile home, you have a beautiful view of the countryside. Now that’s a great way to wake up! The property is nestled in the middle of 20 hectares of historic meadowland. There are always cows and/or horses grazing in the pasture. We also have a cozy little menagerie of our own, with chickens, sheep, and a little horse. Our farm is located between the towns of Appingedam and Delfzijl. So we live in the open countryside, but if you feel like it, you can be in the center of either town in no time. The best of both worlds. Within 30 minutes, you’ll be in the center of the bustling student city of Groningen. There’s plenty to do in the area, including nature activities, historical sites, delicious food, shopping, and many beautiful walking and biking trails. We’d be happy to tell you all about the fun things to do here. Whether you decide to stay for 2 nights or a whole week, there’s plenty to experience for young and old alike. And in the evening, you can relax in the hot tub, which is heated and ready for you.

The yurt was very pleasant. We had exceptionally nice and warm weather, so we mainly sat outside (until late at night, around a self-burning fire !) and used the yurt as a sleeping place. A return in a cold period seems nice to us :) The cats were curious and cozy! And in the background the cackling of the chickens.
De Yurt was heel aangenaam. Wij hadden wel uitzonderlijk mooi en warm weer, waardoor we vooral buiten zaten (tot 's avonds laat, rondom een zelfgestookt vuurtje !) en de yurt als slaapplek hebben benut. Een keer terugkomen in een koud periode lijkt ons ook leuk :)
De rondlopende poezen waren nieuwsgierig én gezellig ! En op de achtergrond het lekkere gekakel van de kippen.We had a wonderful long Pentecost weekend in the Far North.
