Discover beautiful, peaceful Hedalen and our historic property, with a large lot, private beachfront, boat, canoe, and stunning views of the water. Unspoiled Norwegian nature and cottage tradition, 2 hours from airport Gardermoen/Oslo, with all amenities: electricity, water, heated floors, bathroom/sauna, fully equipped kitchen, freshly grounded coffee from our coffee machine, groceries delivered to your door, charging station for electric cars (charging not included), road access to the door, private parking right outside. Privacy and tranquility, with a shoreline and views from the terrace and the glass veranda. Our family has owned this home for four generations, from the still well-preserved hunting cabin built 125 years ago into a modern cabin. Log walls from the old hunting cabin are still at the heart of the cabin, perfectly blending with contemporary style. Two bedrooms on the first floor and three loft rooms with 5 beds on the second floor.
Nature and surroundings
A very peaceful vacation area, 1-2 km from other cabins, so you’re surrounded by pristine nature. This provides a special sense of tranquility, lovely nature views from every window, and plenty of space to play for young and old alike, all within a 9–10-acre private lot, completely undisturbed. No pollution from cars, lights or noise. Motor boats forbidden on the lake. Summer: sun on the terrace, fishing, swimming, bonfires, exploring the property, hikes in the woods and mountains, bike rides (bicycles must be brought along). Canoe or rowboat on the property. Fishing gear and life jackets are available. Winter: cross-country skiing, sledding hill, snow lanterns, animal tracks in fresh snow, starry nights. Cross-country ski trail starting at the bottom of our driveway, which is also great for sledding, as no other cars drive there. Perfect for two families, an extended family, or 2–4 nature-loving adult couples. We recommend a max of of eight adults + 3 kids.
