Th houses architecture is typical to the Dordogne area with honey-coloured thick stone walls and terracotta roof tiles. In the summer enjoy the garden with sun loungers, deckchairs, BBQ and dining chairs and table with shade afforded by a huge oak tree or a parasol. In the cooler months, you can enjoy all the comforts Le Mazet affords you in front of a roaring fire in its sitting room. Approached from the garden, Le Mazet has steps to the front door, which opens into the living room and open kitchen (36m²) on the upper ground floor. It is a sunny room, with deep-set windows on all four sides, a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and a large fireplace with a log burner. Steps lead down from the living room to the lower ground floor bedroom with an en suite bathroom. We are delighted that Le Mazet has been awarded 4 stars by the Dordogne Perigord Tourist Board on behalf of the Ministry of Tourism.
Nature and surroundings
This house is surrounded by fields and woods, with spectacular views over the valley to the 12th century village church. There is an abundance of birds, deer and sometimes even wild boar to be seen around the house. It is situated in an unspoiled part of the Dordogne with amazing walks, bike trails, chateaux, bastide towns and lots more to discover.
