It’s a peaceful place where you can hear the birds and where the pace of life naturally slows down. The cottage is separate from our home and offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. Inside, you’ll find a private kitchen and bathroom (filtered tap water!), and on the first floor, a quiet bedroom with a view of our garden, featuring fruit trees and an organic food forest. Outside, there’s a south-facing porch—a lovely spot for a long morning coffee or a glass of wine at the end of the day. The surrounding area is perfect for hiking and biking, with the IJssel River a short distance away and the historic city center of Zutphen within biking distance. A supermarket and a small coffee shop are within walking distance, but otherwise, the space and tranquility of the Achterhoek region reign supreme here. Upon request and for an additional fee, the hot tub can be heated (with wood).

Arrive and feel right at home from the moment you step in! That’s exactly what we experienced. Thankfully, it’s not a cookie-cutter vacation rental, but a place with its own unique character. Everything you need is there, and if not, just ask Derk or Nadja. Our rating reflects maximum relaxation and freedom in a beautiful natural setting. Just as it should be! Aankomen en je direct en constant thuisvoelen! Dat hebben wij mogen beleven. Gelukkig geen VT wonen inrichting, maar een unieke eigenheid.
