In winter, Het Wilde Roodborstje is a warm and cozy retreat, while the forest, like a faithful neighbor, is always nearby. You can park right next to the cottage, so you can enjoy your stay in nature without a care in the world.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located in the peaceful IJsselheide park, right on the edge of the forest. From the nature house, you can step right into nature: winding forest trails, heathlands, and extensive biking and hiking routes are literally right outside your door. The area is known for its tranquility, fresh air, and abundant wildlife. With a little luck, you might spot deer, squirrels, or a woodpecker during your morning walk. The garden surrounding the cottage is fully fenced and offers plenty of privacy. Here, you’ll mostly hear birds, rustling leaves, and silence. The patio has several sheltered seating areas where you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning sun or a glass of wine at the end of the day. The surrounding area offers countless opportunities to experience nature: hiking in the Veluwe, biking along the IJssel River, or strolling through the forests of Hattem and Heerde. For a pleasant day trip, Zwolle (15 min) and Hattem (7 min) are nearby. A perfect combination of nature, tranquility, and charming nearby villages.
