Hof Sand - a listed thatched-roof property dating back to 1780 - is located on a small mound in the middle of a nature reserve directly on the Elbe in the Altes Land region. The extensive property covers a total area of 22,000 square meters and can only be reached via a private road. The farm is located in the middle of the Asseler Sand nature reserve, known for its unique breeding and resting bird population. Despite its secluded location, the nearest shopping facilities are only 2 km away. The old town of the Hanseatic city of Stade is just a fifteen-minute drive away. Located directly on the Elbe cycle path, a short bike ride along the dyke takes you to the famous Krautsand Elbe beach. Here you can go swimming and enjoy the sun in a beach chair. In spring and autumn, the Alte Land is unique with its cherry blossom and apple harvest.
