Our all-wood log cabin (built in 2021) is located in a quiet park on the outskirts of Putten. The road in front of the park turns into a dirt road after 50 meters that leads into the woods; the entire Veluwe is in our backyard. Plenty of walking and cycling on good, mostly signposted, walking and cycling paths. The Sprielderpark is small-scale, the cottages have private, well-maintained gardens with hedges to separate them. Our cottage is equipped with mosquito nets and air conditioning, so the temperature is always pleasant. Since our park is a silent park, we find it important that people adhere to the park rules (is in the house for inspection). So no loud music, shouting or parties in the garden. In connection with the fire safety of the Veluwe it is not allowed to use a barbecue. To compensate we have a "pancake party" with 6 pans to use on electricity, both inside and outside on the large veranda (14.5 m2).
Nature and surroundings
Without exaggerating, we may count the entire Veluwe area to our hinterland. Nature parks "De Hoge Veluwe" and the Speulderbos with the dancing trees (is called one of the most beautiful forests in the Netherlands) are easily accessible (there is a train station in Putten and there are several buses). Who wants to swim can go well in the Bosbad in Putten or the Veluwemeer. The Open Air Museum of Arnhem, located in beautiful surroundings, Burgers Zoo, Castles Het Loo, Slangenburg and Staverden, Harderwijk, the sand sculptures in Garderen, the beautiful town of Elburg. Endless things to do on a day when walking or cycling is less fun.
