Just under 4 hours drive from Utrecht is this cozy 6-person vacation home on 6000 m² of private land with beautiful views, right in the middle of the Parc Naturel Régional des Ardennes. It is a spacious ground floor house with several beautiful spaces such as a large kitchen, a conservatory with stunning panoramic views, a cozy living room with SMART TV, a veranda and a terrace. There are also two cozy wood stoves (also central heating available) and comfortable Auping beds for a wonderful night's sleep. With wifi, ample parking and plenty of nature around you, this is the ideal place to relax. There is a fully equipped kitchen with 4-burner stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and DeLonghi Nespresso machine. The house has a full bathroom with shower stall, 2 sinks and a toilet. Enjoy the tranquility, the birds of prey, squirrels, deer and the beautiful birdsong of all the birds found in and around the garden. The beds are made for you on arrival.
Nature and surroundings
The French Ardennes are versatile; the beautiful nature with unique flora & fauna, beautiful rock formations, picturesque villages such as Monthermé and Rocroi, the historic city of Charleville-Mézières with the beautiful Place Ducale, more than 1,000 kilometers of nature trails for hiking, the winding Meuse with newly built bicycle paths, the largest fortress in Europe in Sedan, it's all part of the possibilities. Visit the cozy restaurants with regional culinary specialties or visit the Lac des Vieilles Forges (a 150ha large lake in the middle of the woods) where there are numerous adventurous outdoor activities. It is also a true paradise for motorcyclists and with over 400 km of MTB routes in 4 levels of difficulty, mountain biking is a big party. A less mass tourism alternative, ideal for those seeking peace and authentic charm. It is a versatile region that appeals to both peace seekers, nature lovers and active holidaymakers.
