Located in central France and surrounded by beautiful nature. A simple, rustic family campsite, very spacious (9Ha) with lots of living and playing space. The campsite is located at 700 meters altitude which means that the nights cool down nicely. The campground has several lakes and a swimming pool. The swimming lake, of course, is fantastic and the centerpiece of the campground. Sups and canoes are available, and Greencamp rents safari tents here that are beautifully situated in nature overlooking the lake. The Greencamp Safari Tent is a sturdy 5-person rental tent built on a wooden deck. The safari tent is spacious and has 2 bedrooms, a living area and an outdoor veranda with lounge sofas.The safari tent is luxuriously and comfortably furnished with, among other things, box-spring mattresses, a mobile outdoor kitchen, hammock, Nespresso.Upon arrival at the campsite, your safari tent will be ready for you and apart from towels and tea towels, you do not need to bring anything yourself.
Nature and surroundings
The campsite is located in Auvergne about 850 km from Utrecht. The campground is located in the nature of the Montagne Bourbanaisse and has a large swimming lake, 2 small lakes and another river. This part of the Auvergne is still very authentic and cosy but there is much to see and do. Take a trip to a beautiful city (Thiers, Vichy or Roanne) or visit one of the beautiful nostalgic villages where there is much to see. Do you like active trips? Then go to Puy de Montoncel. This is the highest mountain in the vicinity; the summit is 1,287 meters high. Several hikes and mountain bike tours start here, including a walk to the source of the Besbre, the small river that runs alongside the campsite.
