You will stay in a bright and quiet room next to the Martenastate estate, decorated in warm natural tones and overlooking the Backyard. Inside you will find a comfortable double bed with fresh white bed linen, a private bathroom with shower and toilet, a sitting area and a compact kitchenette with refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities. You have your own entrance and full access to the room, bathroom and kitchenette. You can also use the garden terrace, where you can sit outside in peace and enjoy the view. Parking is free near the accommodation.
Nature and surroundings
The accommodation is located on the edge of the historic Martenastate estate in Koarnjum. This atmospheric park with stately avenues, old trees and walking paths is freely accessible all year round and a nice place to take a walk or unwind. In the spring the stinzenflora here is extra special. In the summer months the Túnmanswente is also open, an attractive teahouse and visitor center where you can learn more about the history of the estate and enjoy coffee with homemade cake. The area is ideal for walkers and cyclists. From Koarnjum you can easily reach Leeuwarden, but the surrounding villages such as Jelsum and Britsum are also worth a visit. Along the way you will enjoy panoramic views, waterways and characteristic Frisian farms. It is a place for tranquility, nature lovers and anyone who likes to be outdoors, while at the same time having the city within reach.
