The basic, offgrid log cabin is located in a biodiverse paradise and is suitable for groups or a family wanting to stay quiet and simple in nature. So this is not a standard stay and there are no luxuries, everything pure nature. The food forest park has lawns and seating areas, a fire pit and many ponds. Be careful with small children. Near the log cabin are the covered living room, the forest kitchen with gas stove, sink, pans, plates etc. There is also a toilet, a compost toilet and a solar shower, so only hot water when the sun shines. There is also solar 12 volts to charge your cell phones, and 4g range is usually good. Bring your own laundry such as sheets and towels, blankets are plentiful. Wood costs 10 euros per box. Please be quiet outside after 9:30 at night.
Nature and surroundings
Nature on the estate and in the surrounding area is overwhelming. The clear flowing Ourthe is nearby. In the forests, the meadows, the rocky outcrops and the open sky, live deer, boars, badgers, foxes, raccoons, squirrels and beavers, ravens, kingfishers and sometimes even cranes eagles and wolves. The park itself has many frogs, toads, salamanders, birds and endless species of plants, ferns, mosses, nuts and fruit trees The area is famous for its beauty and people come here for hiking, mountain biking, climbing, canoeing and swimming...but mostly for the peace and quiet. There are beaches and reservoirs, caves and animal parks. In La Roche, the pearl of the Ardennes, and in Houffalize and Bastogne is cozy, with terraces, restaurants, tourist offices, stores, museums and markets
