Our cozy wooden cottage La Vagabonde is in the middle of the Périgord Vert, where you can enjoy the French rural life in peace. Among the rolling hills stands this recently converted shipping container (2026). With its 30m2, it invites you to slow down. Inside there is a warm, cozy atmosphere. The many windows connect you with nature. This nature house is fully equipped: a cozy sitting area with wood stove, a fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher, a breakfast bar and a half open bedroom. The modern bathroom is spacious and offers every comfort. Even a washing machine and air conditioning are provided. Outside there is a covered terrace, several sitting areas and you can dream away in a hammock. Whether you want to unwind, escape from the daily rat-race or are looking for quality time, this cozy nature house offers you the peace and quiet to recharge your batteries completely and enjoy being outdoors in a serene environment.
Nature and surroundings
In the midst of green forests and vast rolling fields, the Parc Naturel Régional Périgord-Limousin, with its varied fauna and flora, offers you plenty of opportunities to explore the area at your leisure. In the immediate vicinity of La Vagabonde, chances are you will come face to face with deer, wild boar, foxes, hares, squirrels, ... From the residence you can undertake countless walks in the vast rural surroundings. While enjoying a delicious wine on the terrace, you will be treated to a concert of numerous birds, including the oriole in the summer season. Old castles, picturesque villages and cities such as Brantôme (the Venice of the Dordogne) (15 km), Périgueux (35 km), Angoulème (50 km), Bergerac (75 km) and Bordeaux (150 km), offer numerous excursion possibilities: wine tasting, visiting caves or canoeing on the river. A day trip to the coast is a possibility. And for fresh bread you can go to the bakery located 1.5 km away.
