This detached vacation home (built in 2007) is located in Ponteils-et-Bresis in the beautiful Cevennes. The house is located in a small hamlet ('Montselgues') in a dominant position with a panoramic view of the Cevennes. The house (75m2) is situated on a spacious (1850 m2) private plot and offers privacy, peace and quiet. Description house Inside: Ground floor with living room and open kitchen, separate toilet and bedroom. Upstairs a spacious mezzanine with double bed (140x190), queen-size bed (120x190), sofa bed (140x190) and folding baby bed (up to 15 kg). Optional WiFi (4G router) and satellite TV (free-to-air). Well insulated, with shutters and 2 fans. Outside: South facing, fenced area with large terrace, dining table (6 chairs), lounge set and set-up pool (4x2x1 m, June-Sept). Parking for 2 cars. Less suitable for less mobile persons due to height differences in the terrain.
Nature and surroundings
Location and Environment- The house is located in the Cevennes (in the department of Gard and at the crossroads with the departments of Lozère and Ardeche). This region is characterized by its varied and unspoiled landscape with mountains (including, Mont Lozère), vast forests / woods, grassy plains, streams, impressive river valleys with caves and deep gorges, and the numerous picturesque small villages (the Cevennes is on the UNESCO World Heritage List). In the immediate vicinity of the house there are the villages of Concoules (5 km), Génholac (10 km) and Villefort (10 km; including, a large lake and a beach). The location is also ideal for green tourism and outdoor sports/adventure activities such as hiking (with a donkey), cycling/mountain biking, climbing, canoeing, canyoning, and horseback riding.
