The living room of this cozy cottage is still in its original state of the early 1900's, with a heavy oak beamed ceiling and with regional floor tommettes. The original bread oven with cast iron door is still present and together with the wood stove under the limestone fireplace gives a feeling as if you are a hundred years back in time. A small fitted kitchenette fully equipped. Electric stove, Refrigerator, full inventory. Filter coffee machine and kettle.The bedroom also has an oak beamed ceiling and tommettes. The in-wall linen closet with paneled doors makes the image of yesteryear a reality. The attractively made up 2-person box spring offers you a good night's sleep. The bathroom with toilet, shower cabin and sink has light colors and more than meets current sanitary requirements. From June to August you can use the jacuzzi. There is Wifi in the gîte.
Nature and surroundings
A glance outside, through one of the skirted windows, makes you marvel at the beautiful hilly landscape with its meadows, hedges, solitary oaks and the white Charolais cows. The beautifully landscaped garden offers lots of privacy. You can enjoy hiking and cycling here. Several nice places to visit. Moulins Engilbert is 6 km away where you can also do your shopping. Cycling along the Canal du Nivernais with its flat bike paths, this is 4 km from the cottage. The Morvan is a low mountain range with its beautiful nature and many lakes, where you can fish, swim, sail and row. You can also make beautiful car trips. Scour the many flea markets, which are organized in abundance during the summer period. Nevers with its huge cathedral, as well as the ceramics museum, both definitely worth a visit. Just make tours through the Nièvre and be amazed by picturesque villages.
