In our garden behind the house, in the edge of the forest hidden among the bamboo bushes is our tree house. When our children were little, they already had a tree house there. They have now flown out and after I retired I built a really professional treehouse there. It is made mostly with used materials, but double-glazed and everything insulated. The trees and other construction wood comes from our garden. There is a small kitchenette and a toilet room with washing facilities, on the terrace is a stove with pans. Up the stairs above is an alcove with two beds that can also be linked together, very cozy. Through the door you reach the veranda with balustrade, where you can sit for breakfast or chill in the evening, overlooking the garden and the pond. Because of the bamboo you sit very privately sheltered. Good to know that behind our house is also a studio that is also rented. In the storage room is a shower room for you and also a refrigerator.
Nature and surroundings
Beekbergen is located on the edge of the Veluwe, between Arnhem and Apeldoorn. Within a ten-minute walk you are in the village, with a supermarket, bakery and other stores. There is a beautiful medieval church and numerous terraces and eateries. At 15 kilometers towards Otterloo, is the national park the Hoge Veluwe with museum Kroller Muller. In Apeldoorn, easily reached by bicycle, is palace het Loo and Apenheul. In Lieren, less than 5 kilometers from us, is the museum of the Veluwe steam company, from where you can also take a trip to Apeldoorn or the other way to Dieren. You can start your walk from the cabin to the large forest, where there are also long-distance paths and junction routes for cycling.
