Three baite – historic mountain cabins made of stone and wood—nestled in a sunny clearing above Valchiavenna, an alpine valley between St. Moritz and Lake Como. Surrounded by sparse woodland, dry-stone terraces, and the vast expanse of the mountains, RoncoNuovo is more than just comfortable lodging – it is a place to arrive, breathe deeply, and be together. The carefully restored stone houses continue to tell the story of this place with a subtle sense of design. Natural materials, clean lines, and carefully selected designer furniture blend seamlessly with the original structure. Currently, two baite are available at select times, accommodating up to four adults and offering additional sleeping arrangements for children—ideal for families or friends. Starting in 2027, another baita will join our hideaway, accommodating an additional 4 to 5 people. RoncoNuovo features a spacious outdoor area with fire pit, BBQ, pizza oven, a hot tub and wood-fired sauna in Baita DUE.

A place that remains completely authentic. The impressive mountain scenery of Valchiavenna, the Splügen Valley, and the Bergell offers countless opportunities to explore nature on foot. From short walks to long hikes, anything is possible. The spectacular waterfalls of Acquafraggia are a must-see. Water is never far away. More charming than the nearby and more famous Lake Como, Lake Mezzola offers peaceful swimming spots with views of the mountains and a Mediterranean feel. Those who prefer a more rustic experience will discover hidden pools, clear mountain streams, and small waterfalls – places to cool off, relax, and immerse yourself in nature. the more adventurous opt for guided Canyoning in closeby Val Bodengo.
