Treehouse of Secrets - a night between canopy and silence at Lac du Der Hidden among greenery, high above the forest floor, a place where the world pauses for a moment awaits. Our Treehouse of Secrets is four meters high, resting on three monumental trees, tucked away in the quiet forest park of Domaine du Der. Here you will experience what it means to be invisible for a while - and fully come to yourself. From the terrace and windows you look out over ponds and vast forests. In spring and autumn this is a dream spot for spotting cranes, while in the evening the calls of night birds set the scene. Whether you come to slow down, listen or simply be: this is a place that offers something special every season.The treehouse is built of larch wood: strong, durable and naturally resistant to weather and wind. Thanks to an innovative fastening system, the trees remain completely intact. The atmosphere is reminiscent of rustic Canadian forest cabins.
Nature and surroundings
With a walk of less than 2 kilometers you are at the Lac du Der. The largest artificial lake in Europe where more than 300 bird species have their property. Bald eagles, cranes and the bittern have been spotted here.The area is as large as park the Hoge Veluwe and around the lake is a cycle path of about 40 kilometers. You can rent a bike with us.Even closer are the lakes of Outines: ponds dating back to the Middle Ages when the monks of the Abbey of Saint Pierre built them for fishing. Head out early: that's when you'll see the coypus rats quietly moving through the water. And for spotting a roe deer, you don't even have to be lucky.
