Nature house in Uithuizen

A fully equipped and stylish cottage. There were three of us, and it worked out just fine. We had to improvise a bit with the space while cooking, but that wasn’t a problem.
Mark and Diewkje gave us three tomatoes from their own garden—a very thoughtful gesture, and they were delicious. They’re hospitable and friendly people who made our stay even more enjoyable.

Compleet en stijlvol huisje. We waren er met drie en dat ging prima. Soms wat improviseren met de ruimte als je kookt. Maar dat was geen probleem.
We kregen 3 x tomaatjes uit eigen tuin van Mark en Diewkje, heel attent én lekker. Ze zijn gastvrije en vriendelijke mensen, die ons verblijf nog aangenamer maakten.

The Vogelhuis is a wonderfully peaceful place. It offers views of the fields and plenty of open space, no matter which direction you cycle or walk in. You can simply stand or sit on the Wadden Sea dike and spend hours gazing out and listening to the birds. Marvel at the unique, large farmhouses. There’s plenty to do in the area, if you’re not looking for big-time entertainment. Culture in the form of small museums. And the ferry ride to Borkum from Eemshaven.

Het Vogelhuis is een heerlijke rustige plek. Uitzicht op de velden en ruimte welke kant je ook op fietst of wandelt. Gewoon op de waddendijk staan of zitten en eindeloos kijken en luisteren naar vogels. Je verwonderen over de unieke grote boerderijen. Genoeg te doen in de omgeving, als je niet op zoek bent naar groot vermaak. Cultuur in de vorm van kleine musea. En de overtocht naar Borkum vanaf Eemshaven.

This part of Groningen is still truly peaceful and spacious, and much greener than I expected. There are charming little villages; you have to look a bit to find cultural activities, for example, but they’re definitely there. We especially enjoyed the small-scale, personal feel. It’s a region I’ll definitely return to. The cottage was truly fantastic—a bit small, but more than suitable for a few days. Outside, I missed having some loose chairs so we could sit separately.

Dit deel van Groningen is nog echt rust en ruimte, en veel groener dan verwacht. Leuke dorpjes, even zoeken naar bv cultureel aanbod, maar het is er zeker . Wij hebben genoten van juist het kleinschalige en persoonlijke . Een regio waar ik zeker nog naar terugkom. Het huisje was echt fantastisch, wel klein , maar voor een paar dagen meer dan geschikt. Buiten miste ik lossen stoelen om apart te kunnen zitten .

A beautiful, small but very cozy little house—I’d love to live there :-) Everything is brand new, the beds are wonderful, and the hosts are friendly and helpful.

Een prachtig , klein maar zeer fijn huisje ,ik zou er wel in willen wonen :-) Alles nieuw , heerlijke bedden en vriendelijke en behulpzame verhuurders .

A complete, attractively decorated new cottage where we were allowed to be the first guests. Everything is there. Read a book from the bookcase and games were also provided. Use of coffee and tea and a separate 2 burner stove that worked well. On the terrace you sit quietly. We enjoyed it very much and found the cottage very nicely decorated. Dieuwke came to give us a friendly welcome upon arrival and in the chat messages they respond very quickly and are ready if there is anything. For us to repeat!

Een compleet, sfeervol ingericht nieuw huisje waar wij de eerste gasten mochten zijn. Alles is aanwezig. Een boek uit het boekenkastje gelezen en ook spelletjes zijn aanwezig. Gebruik van koffie en thee en een losse 2 pits kookplaat die goed werkte. Op het terrasje zit je heerlijk rustig. Wij hebben enorm genoten en vonden het huisje erg leuk ingericht. Dieuwke kwam ons nog even vriendelijk welkom heten bij aankomst en in de chatberichten reageren zij zeer snel en staan klaar mocht er iets zijn. Voor ons voor herhaling vatbaar!

Quiet location, in the flat landscape of Groningen. Near a bird watching point and behind it the Wadden Sea, incredibly beautiful view. Near enough small villages. In and around the cottage wonderful silence.

Rustig gelegen, in het vlakke landschap van Groningen. Vlakbij een vogel uitkijkpunt en daarachter de Waddenzee, ontzettend mooi uitzicht. In de buurt genoeg kleine dorpjes. In en rond het huisje heerlijke stilte.
