Come and recharge your batteries in our country house, on the grounds of an ancient château, in the Yonne region, at the beginning of Burgundy. Less than 2 hours from Paris, between Sens and Auxerre, Le Colombier Vert is a haven of peace on the edge of a small Burgundy village. Formerly the farm of a now-defunct château, the estate belongs to Régis and Véronique. Discover our charming country gîte, born of a former bakery, cozy and full of character, with a view of a superb 17th-century dovecote. Ideal for a quiet couple's stay, it features a bright and spacious living room on the first floor. You'll find a fully-equipped kitchen and a cosy sitting area around a wood-burning stove, with comfortable armchairs and a Bluetooth speaker. On the first floor of the gîte, a bedroom with a double bed (160 cm) and a separate area with a 1-seater sofa-bed (optional). The whole is 48 m2. * WEEKEND OFFER: enjoy the gîte until the end of the day on Sunday.
Nature and surroundings
In the garden, from rocking chairs, hammocks or the private terrace, you can admire the dovecote. An area of the garden is reserved for you. This former royal farmhouse features a dovecote, barns, atypical meeting rooms, a small gîte and gardens, all set in 4 hectares. This beautiful architectural heritage, built in the time of Louis XIV, has been ecologically restored. Herbalist's garden, ornamental garden, aromatic vegetable garden and orchard, this garden is an educational garden with some fifty cultivated medicinal plants. Véronique, a certified herbalist, transforms them into herbal teas, herbal salts and syrups for sale on site. The small country village of Champlay is 5 km from Joigny, a Town of Art and History. Nearby: Chablis and Irancy (35 min), Guédelon (50 min), Saint-Fargeau (45 min) or Vézelay (60 min).
