Old stone restored barn located on the top of an uncontaminated hill in a secluded atmosphere, with stunning 360° panoramas on the Florentine hills and the Arno river. Surrounded by private olive grooves, accommodation is is one of the three apartments of an old renovated colonic house in the heart of Tuscany. It is organized as a loft/studio, a room of about 55 square meters, spacious and bright with a fully equipped kitchenette and a bathroom. At first floor a dining table and a living area with sofa, an open space bedroom with a double bed and two singles. The furnishings are cared for in every detail, from the traditional terracotta floors to the typical beamed ceilings. Outside, you can enjoy an outstanding private panoramic terrace with dining table and sun bed. Few steps to a shared garden with pool and another huge garden with several lounge, relaxing, reading and eating areas with BBQ and a shady gazebo area. A free internet wifi connection is provided in all the property.
Nature and surroundings
Surrounded by private olive grooves, the accommodation offers an ideal mix between peaceful relaxation and opportunities for outdoor activities. With easy access to visit Florence (18 km) and major sites of Tuscan region such as Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, the wine Chianti area and many others landscaping or trekking attractions. A grocery store/bar/restaurant about 1 km away. In the villages of Rignano sull'Arno and Pontassieve, you'll find many other restaurants, pizzerias, trattorias, a bank, a pharmacy, and all the main services. Just outside the house you can start walking in vineyards and olives fields, there are some easy but beautiful paths to make. At 45 minutes driving you can find the beautiful Vallombrosa Natural Reserve with green forest and refreshing paths. Other beautiful trekking path are in the Montegiovi's ring (45 minutes with car), or the Casentino's national park reachable in 1 hr driving.
