Our guesthouse is a tastefully renovated horse stable where many authentic elements have been preserved. From the cozy living space you can enjoy beautiful views over the Needse Berg. The stable has a sitting area, bathroom with rain shower and a fully equipped kitchen with dining area. Relax on the (covered) private terrace, overlooking the nature garden or drink a nice glass of wine in the evening during the spectacular sunset in our Proathoes. Our 6500m2 nature garden consists of a pear and apple orchard & a great diversity of native trees, shrubs and plants. Stroll along different paths, past the insect hotel, the willow arch, the fire pit and the fairy trail, or just chill out in the hammock. In spring, enjoy a concert of tree frogs and the many birds & in summer the flower borders that are crowded by butterflies and bees, among others. Well into autumn it is beautiful to see all that blooms in the garden.
Nature and surroundings
To experience nature you do not have to leave the yard, as our garden is regularly visited by deer, hares, hedgehogs, squirrels. You can also study our own bee population. The garden is also a paradise for many species of birds: the pheasant, partridge, owl, kestrel, buzzard, swallow, green and spotted woodpecker and the sturdy rook are regular visitors. With a little luck the golden oriole will sing a song for you and twice a year there is a good chance of spotting cranes. The garden is ideal for photographers and artists because of the many surprising corners and vistas. Furthermore, the Achterhoek scenery offers many opportunities for cycling and walking. Both nature reserve Needse Achterveld, as 't Vleer & the Oldermanskoele are within walking and cycling distance. There are several culinary establishments within walking and cycling distance. A bicycle trip to Germany is one of the possibilities, for example to the Zwillbrocker Venn where in summer flamingos breed.
