Welcome to this nature house, a charming and completely private vacation home where you will be the guest of Frans and Suse. Here you will enjoy peace, space and a feeling of coming home, surrounded by the gentle hills and wide views for which the Charente is so loved. The Gîte is in an ideal location, close to the Dordogne, putting the best of both regions at your fingertips. Our Gîte is also an ideal stopover on the way to Spain: San Sebastián is only 400 kilometers away. The house can accommodate a maximum of 4 guests and has been furnished with an eye for comfort and relaxation. Several times a week you can enjoy our table d'hôtes, which Frans and Suse can provide on request. For longer stays it is also possible to make use of our outdoor kitchen and bbq, ideal for long summer evenings. NB Children up to 12 years are free and you do not need to register them as an extra person
Nature and surroundings
If you are not already familiar with the Charente, a world will open up for you. This region is known for its rolling hills, quiet roads and a landscape that stretches endlessly before you. Small 'hameaux' lie like tufts in the landscape and in summer vast fields of sunflowers color the surroundings. Characterized by small villages and medieval castles, the Charente is a true haven for nature lovers. In the Charente you will love to be active! Cycle routes crisscross the department and in the Dronne you can kayak or swim. It is an ideal region for walking, cycling and enjoying silence and nature. The area offers plenty of opportunities for active relaxation. Along the Dronne there are several places where you can canoe, ideal for a quiet trip through the green landscape. Golf enthusiasts will find several golf courses in the region, from relaxing 9-hole to challenging 18-hole courses in the middle of nature.
