Tiny house Geau is located directly on the Elfstedenwater, the Swette, which is part of the Elfstedentocht route. From the cottage, you have a view of the water. Twenty-seven square meters for two people, all on one level. You’ll sleep on two separate box springs pushed together, made up upon arrival. The bathroom with a shower is for your exclusive use. You’ll cook in your own kitchen, which features two induction burners and a refrigerator with a freezer compartment; pots, plates, glasses, and silverware are provided. There’s also a Nespresso machine and a kettle. Outside, you’ll have your own terrace by the water. You can reserve the Finnish sauna on the property for a fee. Your dog is welcome for 25 euros per stay.
Nature and surroundings
You’ll be staying at Pean-buiten Weidum, a three-hectare estate in the Frisian meadow landscape, 8 kilometers from Leeuwarden. The estate is located directly on the Elfstedenwater, the Swette, and along the Elfsteden Route: the skating route, the Elfsteden cycling route, and the stand-up paddleboarding route. From the property, you can easily cycle or walk into the countryside, passing canals, farms, and small villages. Leeuwarden is 8 kilometers away, Sneek is 15 kilometers away, and Franeker is 25 kilometers away. On the property stands the farmhouse, built in 1867, which houses Restaurant WeidumerHout. On Fridays and Saturdays, you can dine à la carte there; reservations can be made through the restaurant. In the farmhouse’s living room, there’s a self-service coffee bar. The Finnish sauna stands alone in the meadows and can be reserved year-round. You can park for free on the property and walk to your accommodations with a luggage cart.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
