Nature and surroundings
The Tiny House Cabin is nestled in the Frisian countryside, offering views of the meadows and plenty of open space all around. From the cabin, you can walk or bike right out into the countryside along quiet roads and paths. Restaurant WeidumerHout is located on the grounds. It is one of Friesland’s most famous restaurants, where local Frisians love to dine and guests from farther afield are just as welcome. We cook according to the New Frisian Cuisine, using local and seasonal products. The restaurant has limited hours; therefore, making a reservation is recommended and appreciated. Nearby are De Alde Feanen National Park and Lauwersmeer National Park, both a short distance away and perfect for a day in nature. Rent a SUP or canoe and explore the Elfstedenroute from the water, or hop on a bike and follow winding paths through villages and meadows. Leeuwarden is about a 15-minute bike ride away. Other Eleven Cities towns are also easily accessible and offer a nice contrast to the tranquility of the countryside.
