We are Theo and Liesbet and we have been living permanently in the French Lot since 2020. We were seduced by the original 1890's stone house that fits so nicely into the surroundings, by the views over the hills, the green space around us and the peace. In the former stable building near our house we have a B&B with 5 rooms for 2 people, a dining room, a large outdoor lounge, a swimming pool and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen for guests. We serve breakfast daily and offer a communal three-course dinner 3 nights a week.The rooms all have private shower and toilet and are similar in size.We offer casual coziness, we like to make everyone comfortable as much as possible. The atmosphere is international, we now have many Dutch guests, but also French, Spanish and English speakers. People like to come here for hiking, cycling or to visit towns, alternated with relaxing by the pool.
Nature and surroundings
We welcome you to the nature reserve Parc Regional des Causses du Quercy, in the Lot. You can walk and cycle endlessly here, it is quiet everywhere and the silence almost deafening. Deer, badgers, foxes and wild boars regularly pass by. The nightingale, the hoopoe and the midwife toad are our garden inhabitants.We live on the "causse," which is a limestone plateau. Ten minutes away, the Lot flows through a beautiful valley with rock walls. The landscape consists of forest and fields. This eastern part of the Lot is rougher than on the western side. The small hamlets are scattered in the beautiful landscape and here and there is a village where you can sit on a terrace. Next to the Lot is the Célé, a smaller river where you can canoe, and a 20-minute drive away is Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, qualified by the French themselves as one of the most beautiful villages in the country. But there are more such gems like Rocamadour, Najac, Cordes-sur-Ciel and Figeac.
