For those who want to slow down... Located in the forest, this modern cottage is a fine place for peace, nature and comfort. From the large garden you walk or cycle directly into nature; ideal for hiking, cycling or mountain biking. Inside it is cozy and warm, with a wood stove, comfortable sofa and modern TV. For quiet evenings, there is a Blu-ray player with a small movie collection. The open kitchen is fully equipped with microwave oven, dishwasher and refrigerator. The bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower. You sleep in a large double bed; in addition, there is a bunk bed for children or additional guests. The cottage is recently newly decorated and feels light and well cared for. In the 1000m2 garden there are some seats here and there under the trees (including beech, chestnut, pine, a fir and a birch) and in the sun. Bicycles can be safely stored. A place to really unwind, surrounded by nature. (The price includes all amenities, so you can enjoy carefree)
Nature and surroundings
The cottage is located in the Achterhoek: a quiet, green and small-scale landscape of forests, meadows, wooded banks and winding roads. The area is known for its space, silence and hospitality. Hiking, cycling and mountain biking routes start directly from the cottage through woods and countryside. The park and immediate surroundings are very bird-rich; more than 45 species of birds have been observed here, including several species of woodpeckers and owls. Zelhem is about 4 km away and has stores, supermarkets and restaurants. Doetinchem (city, catering and culture) is about 10 km away. The historic town of Doesburg on the river IJssel can be reached in about 20 km. Bronkhorst - also on the IJssel - the smallest town in the Netherlands, is also within easy reach (about 20 km). Germany is also within 20 km and Bocholt is a town there that can be reached in half an hour by car. An ideal base to experience the peace and variety of the Achterhoek.
