The Moulin St Livrade complex is situated in a hilly, expansive landscape along the small Séoune River. It is one of the many water mills in the rural region of Tarn-et-Garonne. It is an historic site featuring a small Romanesque church and a small cemetery. As you cross the bridge over the Séoune River, you’ll see the main building with its sluices and two outbuildings. The buildings have been professionally restored. At Moulin St Livrade, you’ll find peace and space; it’s an excellent place for hiking, biking, cooking, writing, and crafting. It’s also ideal for a stay with family and friends. The Moulin is well-suited for 2 people, but groups of up to 8 can also stay there comfortably. On the ground floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen. The most striking room is the large living room with a fireplace. The building has two floors, with sleeping lofts. The site covers approximately 1.5 ha and is divided by the river into two long “pie slices.” A public trail crosses through the middle, and the three buildings are situated here within a sweeping landscape. Natural swimming area: In the summer, the basin is an ideal natural swimming spot. We have no control over the water level; during very hot summers, the water level may be low. There are alternative swimming spots nearby. There is a small private beach by the bridge, ideal for small children. It’s a pleasant place to stay in all seasons. Summers are warm, and winters are mild. The area is quiet and largely unknown to the average traveler to France. As a result, you won’t encounter many tourists. The hills and river valleys offer a varied landscape with beautiful panoramic views, making it an ideal region for cycling and hiking. Every day (except Wednesdays), you can buy delicious fresh bread in the village of Touffailles; the nearest place to do your grocery shopping is the pilgrimage village of Lauzerte. Larger cities: Moissac, Valence. Toulouse is a 1-hour drive away.
